Dec 2012 update

This month we celebrated our sweet baby Elias's first birthday! I can't believe that my baby is already one! Frank also took command of his company this month also! He is now in charge of 175ish soldiers for the next 1-1 1/2yrs. There was a ceremony in which about 30 soldiers in his company participated while the rest sat in the audience with us as well. We enjoyed the end of the month celebrating Christ's birth with Christmas at home. The day after Christmas, my in-laws came for a visit! We had such a great time with them and anxious to see them again. So without further ado, here is my birthday letter to my son and pictures to enjoy!

Dear Elias,
Happy, happy birthday my sweet baby! Your first year of life sure flew by so very fast! You have changed in so many ways, including your looks! You were born with such dark brown hair and at about 5 months old it turned blond just like your siblings! I love to see your face light up in the mornings when I get you out of your crib or when you see daddy home from work for the first time all day. You really love your daddy! You also love to play with your big brothers and sisters and even the dog. You will lay on the floor and giggle as you wait for Judah to come and sit on you and make you laugh! You started walking about 2 weeks before your birthday and of course you are all over the place. Just like your older brothers, you are a climber, always climbing up anything you can including scaling the stairs in record times! I love you so much Elias. You are such a joy to our family. You make me smile every day with your sweetness. Happy birthday my sweet baby boy, I love you always.
